Problem Overview

For many students, career education feels distant.

They hear about industries.

They watch talks.

They read job descriptions.

They still don’t know about jobs.

They rarely experience what it actually feels like to make decisions inside a real workplace - where there are trade-offs, conflicting priorities, ethical tensions, communication challenges, and uncertainty.

AI × XR technologies open up a different possibility. Instead of only learning about professions, learners can step into them. They can navigate situations, make decisions, and reflect by discussing choices, values, and consequences with intelligent AI agents.

At the same time, classrooms are real environments with real constraints. Not every school has VR headsets and not every lesson can be redesigned around immersive hardware. Teachers often struggle with device setup, time limitations, and pedagogical integration.

This track invites you to rethink immersive professional learning not as a high-end demo but as something scalable, flexible, and accessible across devices.

Challenge Statement

How can AI × XR technologies create immersive and accessible professional simulations where learners can experience real workplace environments and discuss challenges, values, and career pathways with intelligent AI agents?

Scope & Focus

Your solution may OPTIONALLY explore:

  • Step into a professional environment
  • Make decisions within realistic constraints
  • Engage in structured dialogue with an AI agent
  • Reflect on challenges, values, and future pathways

When designing your solution, consider real classroom conditions:

  • Many schools struggle with high-end hardware availability and management
  • Teachers face time limits and curriculum pressures
  • Your design should demonstrate thoughtful multi-device accessibility, whether through adaptive interfaces, hybrid modes, or layered interaction models.

Key Elements to Consider

How does an immersive experience contribute to educational value?

How does AI support reflection rather than replace thinking?

How does your system adapt across devices?

How can teachers realistically integrate this into a lesson?

Desired Outcomes

A prototype, immersive environment, or interactive demonstration that illustrates a distinct creative vision and meaningful AI × XR integration

Clear articulation of design intentions and effective demonstration of user interaction (via a 2-3 minute video and pitch deck)

📌 Special Note: The final prototype needs to be submitted to the RealityX 3D Magician Platform! This track has an additional 100 pounds for prize!
⚠️ Important: Prototype, Video, and Pitch Deck are all essential deliverables!
